Jack Shows Us London

We were not allowed to take pictures inside any of the attractions in London because of security reasons, but we took some pics of the outside of most places except for Saint Paul's because we couldn't really get a good picture from outside.

Kensington Palace

These two pictures were taken outside of Kensington Palace.   This of course was Lady Diana's home.  I am a huge fan of hers and this was an emotional time for me even though I put on a brave face.  We were suppose to go inside but there was a security breach the night before.  Just standing on the very soil that she graced her presence was a thrill for me.  Jack of course had to put on a shirt that made him look like a tourist so he could blend in like everyone else there.

Buckingham Palace

Here I am flirting with two Bobbies at the gates of Buckingham Palace.  I told them to get a little closer and pretend that I was cute.  I think you can tell by the expressions on their faces, that they liked the idea.  The one to the right of me I think might have been a little more receptive to the idea.   I think the one on the left was afraid of what his boss might say (the guy on the right). I told both of them that I had room in my suitcase for one of them, immediately after a fist fight ensued between them. (Just Kidding)  I was totally enjoying myself.  I guess there is something about an American girl that gets the foreign men all excited.  I found these two guys to be a little on the STIFF side.

10 Downing Street

OOhh What can I say.  This is 10 Downing St.  This is the Prime Minister Tony Blair's house.  Nobody goes to this address but we managed to accomplish it.  We are not giving away our secrets either.  The handsome man in uniforn I am with had about all he could take from me.  I was a nasty little girl and had this poor mans face red as hell.  I think he thoroughly enjoyed pressing his body up against mine for those pics.  He was such a sweetheart and I don't think that he will ever forget me.  You can't really read the plaque on the door unless you are looking at these photos( unless we scanned them bigger), but yes we really were there.   The pic to the left is me going to flash the Bobbie but I then realized there were security cameras pointed in every direction (including right at me).  There wasn't an inch of that  property that is not being taped.  No security breach there! As you can see, my other half almost got his head knocked off, but then all was well when he realized who was in charge.

Outside Saint Paul's Cathedral

Westminster Abbey

The minute you step into the churches in London you could feel as though something has happened.  The age of these places in unbelievable.  The United States is just a newborn compared to the country of England.  I was so amazed at the vastness of these incredible places.  Many important people have been laid to rest inside of the massive and historic churches. There are grave markings in the floors and walls throught these churches. I cannot put into words what there is to see inside of these places. The top two pictures are from outside of Saint Paul's Cathedral and the second two pics are outside Westminster Abbey.

McDonalds

The McDonalds restaurants in England look a little different because they are not allowed to make big giant signs like they can over here. If you are not paying attention, you could easily drive right on by. This McDonalds was near the Tower of London. Click on it to see a larger picture.
